Last week Joshua, a talented young boy from Groendal, walked into our office and asked us to donate some money so that he can go to the Karate Championships being hosted in Sun City. Before we agreed to give him money I asked him to show me some of his moves and he kindly obliged my impulsive curiosity.

Without any hesitation, a dead serious face and intense concentration he put on a fantastic display right here in our office. We could only marvel at the wonderful talent and dedication that he obviously has in abundance.

Joshua

Garth asked him what the 2 most important lessons in Karate was and he confidently replied: discipline and respect. We could see the confidence and pride he displayed and just how much this sport meant to him.

With the test passed with flying colours I asked him to tell me more about this Karate Championships.

He handed over his donation sheet. Only after reading it we realize that he was chosen to represent South Africa at the World Championships, hosted in South Africa!

Of the R12000 needed to get there he had only a few R100 raised and was far away from reaching his goal.

So this is why I write to you today: Please help this fantastically talented boy from our own back yard get the opportunity he so obviously deserves. I am sure that we can help him realize his dream and i have no doubt that he will make us all very proud!

Here below is a copy of the letter that he has from his Karate instructor:
